「源氏物語」サイデンスティッカー英訳とエス訳比較
Waleyに較べて、Seidenstickerの英訳がすぐれていると聞いていたので、
たまたま拙訳(エスペラント)と比較してみて驚きました。
サイデンスティッカーは、細かい描写を省略して訳してしまっているではないか!
これでは正しい英訳とは言えないと思います。
日本的な内容が消えてしまっていると感じます。
次は、第14帖「澪標」の冒頭の二段です。
